~*~ CREATIVE DESIGN TEAM - Yana ~*~

My name is Yana Pritchard, otherwise know on UKS as Gadgetmum - why well I love all sorts of gadgets to try and make my life easier, so much so that my house is full of stuff!  I live in Hertfordshire.

I use the Craft Robo which I have had for 2 years now and love it!  I also started using a light box to emboss but unfortunately my eyesight isnt the best all the time (well 27 eye operations on the right one has taken its toll!).  I love to decoupage and Robo makes that alot easier cutting out designs. Funtime is my favourite software although I have used Design Master, Craftrobo and Inkscape. 

Ive tried using flower soft and glimmer paints but painting isnt my best crafting activity.  I used to make costumes for my 2 kids but then I had another boy and sewing has remained in the cupboard along with the embroidery machine and overlocker (see what I mean by gadgets?)  I have tried rug making and embroidery, the larger stitches but my first love is definately card making.  

What do I like most, Sliceforms, so much so I took on a large project to make 150 sliceforms for xmas just gone by for a really good friend.  I keep thinking I should take up scrapbooking but such a task with all those photos and Im terrible at working out when the photo was taken so how can I put them in order. Maybe one day when Im sitting in my rocking chair.  

My life is taken up with three boys aged 12, 9 and 3 next month.  They have all been brought up with craft and the oldest, Jason is dsylexic but is very artistic and creative.  Adam tends to disect things and even crafting can be a chore with him, too many whys and whats that nothing gets done.  Sam the youngest loves to stick things and Im sure he will continue to progress. 

I have a loving and supportive husband of 20 years, but he does call himself a Craft Widow - what does he mean?  Unfortunately I would always prefer crafting to housework but he does keep me in check, he even bought me a shed at the bottom of the garden to store all my craft items and supposidly work up there, but the youngest isnt at school yet and doesnt like going in the shed, so the house becomes my craftiing domain - to my hubbies annoyance.  He works very hard at his own franchise and I try and help by doing accounts at home - uugh.   What else can I say before you all go to sleep?  I have three goldfish and did have a loving cat of 17 years until he got ran over last year.  Anyway I cant wait to get my teeth into all those lovely designs and get to know you girls.
